ஜவகர்லால் நேருவுக்கு மோதிலால் நேரு எழுதின பாசமிகு கடிதம் - Nehru's (Father-son) love

"Nehru - The making of India" என்ற புத்தகத்தில் இருந்து எடுக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு முக்கியம்மான ஒரு கடிதம். இந்த கடிதம் என்னை மிகவும் கவர்ந்தற்கு காரணம் அதில் இருந்த அப்பா மகன் பாசம். அது உலகத்தில் உள்ள அணைத்து அப்பாக்களின் மகன் மீது இருக்கும் பாசத்தின் வெளிப்பாடு. அதை படிக்கும்போதே அவ்வளவு ஆனந்தம். பெரிய பணகாரத் தகப்பனாக இருந்தாலும் தான் மகன் மீது வைதிருக்கும் பாசம் பணத்தால் எண்ணமுடியாது என்பதே நிதர்சனம். அதற்க்கு இந்தே கடிதமே ஒரு சாட்சி..

மோதிலால் நேரு இந்தியாவிற்கு செல்லும் முன் நேருவுக்கு எழுதிய கடிதம். கடிதம் எழுதிய தேதி - 20.10.1905. நேரு லண்டனில் படிக்க போகிறார். மோதிலால் அது வரை நேருவை பிரிந்து இருந்தது இல்லை. கடிதத்தை ஆங்கிலத்திலையே  பதிவு இட்டுவுள்ளேன். TRANSLATE பண்ணி சொதப்ப விரும்பல....

*Motilal Nehru last letter before sailing to India while he leaving his son (Jawaharlal Nehru), who will have his education in London. This letter was written on 20th October 1905.  Motilal described how much his son meant to him.

The letter follows,

                   "In you, we are leaving the dearest treasure we have in this world, and perhaps in other worlds to come. We are suffering the pangs of separation from you simply for your own good. It is not a question of providing for you, as I can do that perhaps in one single year's income. It is a question of making a real man of you, which you are bound to be. It would be extremely selfish- I should say sinful - to keep you with us and leave to a fortune in gold with little or no education....... I think I can without vanity say that I am the founder of the fortunes of the Nehru family. I look upon you, my dear son, as the man who will build upon the foundations I have laid and have satisfaction of seeing a noble structure of renown rearing up its head to the skies"
